Massage Definitions
Tapotement : tapping movement used in massage.
Compression, digital : pressing movement directed into muscle tissue
by the fingers.
Lymph massage : lymphatic massage; a pumping motion done with the
palm of the hand pressing toward the center of the body; designed to
improve metabolism by accelerating the flow of lymph, thus helping to
rid the body of toxins.
Swedish massage : massage movements; a series of massage
movements classified as active and passive used in therapeutic massage.
These are legitimate, therapuetic techniques.
